Welcome to the first issue of AI Remote Work Today. Thank you for being here from the start.

Today's opportunities
News & Copy Editor · Mercor

Type: Specific project · Screening: a calibration gate before live data, per the listing. Many Mercor listings also include an AI interview.
Strong fit for: editors and writers who spot unsupported claims and weak openings.

Five-minute practice
Evaluation: handling missing information · A user asks a question that depends on something they didn't say. Which answer handles it better?
The prompt: "When should I schedule a call with my team in Sydney?"
Answer A: "Schedule it for 5:00 p.m. your time. That's 9:00 a.m. the next morning in Sydney, right at the start of their workday."
Answer B: "Sydney's working day is roughly 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. local time. I don't know where you are, so tell me your city or time zone and I'll convert that window for you."
The answer: B. Answer A sounds confident, but "5:00 p.m. your time" is only right for readers in one time zone, and the question never said which. Answer B notices what's missing, still gives something useful (Sydney's working hours), and asks one clear question.
Rubric:
Did it notice the missing information?
Did it still give something useful?
Did it ask one clear question, not several?
Did it avoid presenting a guess as fact?
Independent practice, not a real platform question.
Your next move
Read the screening step before the pay. Two of today's roles name theirs: Mercor's editor role has a calibration gate before live data, and micro1 starts with an interview with Zara. If micro1 is on your list, try its Interview Prep tool first. Our AI interview prep guide has a five-day plan.
